happy (lunar) new years

Gong hei fat choy! You might hear this greeting a lot during Lunar New Years. Its a Cantonese greeting wishing happiness and prosperity. My mom is Chinese so our family usually celebrates by going out for a nice dinner. Red in Chinese custom symbolizes good fortune and joy, and is commonly worn for special occasions such as New Years. I thought this burgundy blazer and shirt paired nicely and complimented each other well. The chambray chinos give the outfit some contrast and the dark brown kicks ties things together. Happy Year of the Pig!
